The purpose of the Music Ministry at Community of the Word is to direct the congregation towards Gospel-centered, Christ exalting songs that teach and admonish the gathered saints towards a passionate worship of God. We believe that the “manifold wisdom of God” (Eph. 3:10) is in part displayed when Christ’s saints sing to one another in “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” (Gal. 5:19; Col. 3:16), and so expend every effort in order to lead the congregation well, that they would be able to teach and admonish one another in the form of song.

 

The Creator God has made creatures in His image. He is a singing God (Zephaniah 3:17; Heb. 2:12), and He calls us to do as He does, that we may sing to Him who is worthy of all praise
